James "Jerry" Barrett Sherrod
March 25, 1930 - June 15, 2012

James (Jerry) Barrett Sherrod 82 passed away peacefully June 15, 2012. Jerry was born in Waco, TX March 25, 1930. Jerry joined the USAF and served in the Korean War and was a Mason raised in 1959. Jerry was a wonderful husband married for 62 years and an amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather. Anyone who met Jerry had an instant admiration for him. Jerry had several successful businesses before his retirement which led him to have many friends. Jerry would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it and ask nothing in return. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Mazie Sherrod, his brother Gene Sherrod, his daughter Marilyn Sue Perkins and his son Mark David Sherrod. Jerry is survived by his wife Marie Sherrod, his grandsons Don Hazelwood Jr. and his fiancée Kristen Golbow, Christopher Sherrod and his wife Jessica. His granddaughters Angie Hazelwood and her significant other Mark Wilson, Crystal Ritche and her husband Dylan. Jerry had 10 great grandchildren and he loved to be surrounded by them and loved them all. Services will be held in privacy per the families request just send your prayers.
